Every product carries its own measurement chart in centimetres, so you can check it against a coat you already own rather than guess. Sizing is cut smaller than a British high-street size, so if you are between two, take the larger one — particularly if you plan to wear a jumper underneath.
Follow the care label sewn into the garment. As a rule: wool-look and knitted pieces are best dry cleaned, cotton and corduroy wash cool on a gentle cycle, and quilted or padded pieces should be dried flat rather than tumbled.
